Tea Pockets: Tea Pockets self-sealing design keeps even the smallest leaves out of your cup. This makes brewing tea easy and mess-free.
Ginza Tea Stick: The top is angled to form a spoon shape to scoop the tea up. When you bring the stick right side up the tea falls down to the bottom where the holes allow the leaves to steep.
Kyoto Tea Strainer: The Kyoto Tea Strainer is used if you put loose tea directly in your teapot. Hold the strainer over your cup and pour the tea through to strain any leaves that escape the pot.
Tea History
A question many people ask when they come into the tea store is: how do I brew this loose leaf tea? Historically, tea was simply put in a tea pot and hot water added. Tea was poured out into a cup, often through a tea strainer, sometimes not. It was the Dutch, first importers of tea to Europe and America, who came up with the idea of infusers. Today, there is a huge variety of infusers. Some come already installed in the newer teapots. Some are little round balls that are hinged on one side that are suspended in the hot water. There are tea infuser sticks and simple mesh baskets all of stainless steel which doesn't affect the taste of the tea.
