A full bodied tea that complements the coconut beautifully. A little milk helps bring out the coconut flavor.

Extra Info:

Marco Polo first named the fruit "coconut" because he thought that the 3 dark holes on their base made them look like a grinning face - in Portuguese "coco". Despite their friendly appearance, falling coconuts kill an average of 150 people every year. Ironically, the coconut tree is considered by many people to be the tree of life. This is because every part of a coconut and the tree itself can be used and plays an important role in tropical life.

Ingredients:

Organic black tea, coconut pieces, and natural flavors

India

Tastes all right

The smell upon opening the pouch - others describe it as "pungent" - seems a bit "off" to me. Chemical, almost. The tea tastes fine, and I suspect an above-average black tea was used for the base, but I would have expected more coconut flavor to come through. Perhaps more would if taken with milk, as the description suggests, but I don't normally do so. It was sweeter than normal black tea, but not stunningly so. Overall: I'd drink it, but there are more tasty things on this site.

This tea is most excellent! I love it with a tiny bit of stevia and a splash of heavy cream... yum! It makes the best desert tea ever!

Great aftertaste

As others have said, a delicate taste, pungent smell. To my sensibilities, I want a little more punch, a little less delicacy in the taste, but I'll certainly buy it again. Even after I accidentally left a cup infusing for much longer than recommended, the flavor was intact. The aftertaste, though, is on par with the smell. quiet, rich, complex.
