Grand Keemun
Despite its relatively short history (for a Chinese tea!) Keemun became known throughout the world by 1915 and in taste tests conducted by the leading tea companies of the day, was preferred over Darjeeling.

The aroma of Keemun is fruity, with hints of coco and dried plum (but not at all as floral as Darjeeling tea) which creates a distinctive malty taste. The tea can have a more bitter taste and the smokiness can be more defined depending on the variety and how it was processed.

Ingredients:

Black tea

Anhui, China

Grand Keemun

I love this tea and get it whenever I want to treat myself. It's pricey but really smooth and flavorful!

Grand Keemun

We were first introduced to this tea at the Albuquerque B&B where we stayed last Fall. The owner wryly called it New Mexico Breakfast and when we went to the Tea Company to buy some, the man who helped us knew immediately where we were staying. We're just finishing that package and I ordered another by mail. We rotate among several teas so as not to get tired of any. We enjoy this one very much.
