Lavender Tisane (In Stock)

This is a perfect blend of calming ingredients if your looking to avoid chamomile. The lemon and mango flavors meld nicely with the two main ingredients, lavender and lemon grass.

In the Lure Mountains of Provence lavender grows everywhere. Lavender flowers are gathered when they first start to bloom and are dried on a cloth, as they tend to fall apart. Lavender is most often used for perfuming, but it is also an excellent plant for infusions and has an agreeable floral flavor.

Lemongrass (Latin: Cymbopogon flexuosus) has a subtle yet complex aroma. This perennial herb, native to Southeast Asia is noted for its lemony scent and ginger undertones. Its lemon character is due to a high concentration of citral, its main biological component.

Ingredients: Lavender, corn flowers, malow blossoms, rose petals, lemon grass, and a hint of lemon and mango flavor.

Preparation:

Hot:

1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of fresh pure water at 212°F for 5-6 minutes.

Iced:

For 1 gallon, bring half a gallon of filtered water to boil in a pot. Turn off heat, and add 3 tablespoons (1 oz of tea), let steep for 5-6 minutes. Strain the tea into the other half gallon of cool water and refrigerate. If you want to serve immediately, you can pour the concentrate over ice.
