What is the the deal with "Quantity Pricing"?
3/5/2008 by David
Basically the more tea you buy, the bigger the discount is per oz. When you buy one or two ounces of tea then you are paying full retail price per ounce, for example $3.13. When you purchase four or six ounces of tea you get a 20% discount per ounce. So the price drops from $3.13 to $2.50 per ounce. At eight or twelve ounces the discount is 35%, so the price per ounce of our example drops to $2.03. And finally at one or two pounds of tea the discount is 45% off. The resulting price per ounce is $1.72
