This tea is 100% natural, no chemicals or pesticides were used in its production - what you see, smell, and taste - is what you get! This Earl Grey will please the taste of the most discriminating Earl Grey tea drinker. Some say add honey and lemon; some say add milk and sugar; some say drink it without adding anything. You decide!

Extra Info:

Named after the 1830's British Prime Minister, Earl Grey is the western world's most popular tea. Earl Grey has traditionally meant any type or blend of tea which is scented with oil of bergamot, a fruit resembling an orange found in the Mediterranean region. Corfu, Greece was the center of the bergamot trade during the same decades it was headquarters for the British Mediterranean fleet, commanded by Lord Grey in London.

Perhaps more than any other tea, Earl Grey appears to have been the beverage of choice for one fictitious character after the next. From James Bond, to Star Trek's Captain Jean-Luc Picard, to Sir Leigh Teabing of the DaVinci code, Earl Grey holds a special place in the world of storytelling.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 4-5 minutes.

Ingredients:

Organic black tea with natural bergamot flavor,

Origin:

Black Tea from Assam

This is my absolute favorite Earl Grey. Not only is it organic, but it is absolutely fragrant. Having moved away from New Mexico, I now order the 16 oz. packages of this Earl Grey online.

I was spending a small fortune buying venti iced black tea at Starbucks everyday so I decided to go ahead and start making my own at home. This tea is delicious!! I don't add any sweeteners and it is perfect just the way it is! My only regret, not buying the 16 oz.

This was the first loose leaf Earl Grey I've had and I'll be continuing to purchase it. It has a great flavor and didn't get bitter as I got toward the bottom of my cup.

my programming teacher drinks a lot of tea. i have had some of his earl gray tea (from various tea companies, and some imported from Europe). i have to say, the flavor of this tea tops all of those. strong, but not overbearing. a slight fruity and sweet after taste. very good, would recommend.

I liked the tea very much, find the quality excellent, and am very happy with my purchase. I drink tea regularly and will be back for more. I'm happy to kick the weak, less flavorful, and less earth-friendly stuff at the grocery stores.

I have had and drink many Earl Gray Teas in the past and this is the far best one I had. I would freak out if David would stop selling this tea! :-)

This tea is the ultimate in elegant tea. All the teas from NM Tea Company use full leaf, so it is an amazing tea to make in a pot, like the original English tea experience, you can keep adding hot water and continue to get more and more tea from the pot.
