Tippy leaves are hand-rolled and scented with the finest quality Fujian jasmine flowers. It has an excellent aroma and sweet aftertaste. This tea can be steeped multiple times, with the flavor and caffeine slowly decreasing in intensity with the next cup.
Made from the top two leaves and the bud of new season growth (Late March /early April), these delicate leaves are then hand rolled into the small pearls. When you infuse these pearls in your teacup, you will see the top two leaves and the bud come to life. In fact you will see some small "hairy down" on the bud of the leaves - this denotes superb quality and very careful and delicate handling.
Bring filtered or spring water to 170°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 3 minutes.
Be sure to infuse these pearls more then once! Many people find the second infusion better then the first.
